The GJHS Parent Teacher Organization will be providing dinner for Teachers during conferences on the evening of Wednesday, September 20. We are accepting donations of food, desserts and drinks to help feed teachers on this night. Good evening, Wrangler Families: We had a great first week of classes. We know these new daily schedules will be different and will take everyone some time to get used to it., but we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding! We will all continue to grow through these changes together. We only have around 40 students that are missing their AUA’s. We also have around 20 or so students that owe tech fees that are withholding their Chromebook access, but we hope to get those all taken care of in the next several days. Wrangler Families: We are just days away from the start of our 2022-2023 school year. We currently have 389 Technology AUA's, but we still have a lot of students that have not filled one out. Just a reminder that in order for a student to receive their Chromebook, they need to have one filled out AND not have any outstanding technology fines from previous years. Please get this form filled out as soon as possible! We would love for every student to have their Chromebooks in their hand by the first couple of days of school. What an amazing first day back at George Junior High! Our morning started off with a delicious pancake breakfast prepared by our very own Administrators! We also had our 2nd annual GJHS Signing Day Ceremony! We signed another great class of 5 Star Educators! We are very excited about the upcoming school year! #DestinationGeorge #WeAreGeorge

INFORMATION UPDATE: We will handing out Chromebooks t students that have filled out their GJHS Digital AUA on Wednesday, August 10th from 9:00 to 3:00. The deadline to have your AUA filled out and receive your Chromebook at the pick-up event is 9:00 pm on Tuesday, August 9th. Any student filling out the form after the deadline will not receive their Chromebook until the 1st day of school. ACTUALIZACIÓN DE INFORMACIÓN: Entregaremos Chromebooks a los estudiantes que hayan completado su GJHS Digital AUA el miércoles 10 de agosto de 9:00 a 3:00. La fecha límite para completar su AUA y recibir su Chromebook en el evento de recogida es a las 9:00 p. m. del martes 9 de agosto. Cualquier estudiante que complete el formulario después de la fecha límite no recibirá su Chromebook hasta el primer día de clases.

George Junior High School would like to welcome Mrs. Dana Parker to the team. Mrs. Parker will begin her 10th year as a music educator and her first year at Mary Frances George Junior High in Springdale this fall. Mrs. Parker is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where she studied French Horn with Dr. Charles Gavin. Mrs. Parker has been a junior high band director her entire career and is extremely passionate about working with younger students to discover their passion for music. In her spare time Mrs. Parker enjoys reading, gardening, rock climbing, and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Parker has been married to her husband Ramon for 10 years and they have 2 kids together Aurora, 4 and expecting their 2nd child Maverick this summer. Mrs. Parker and her husband are both very excited to be joining the Springdale band family this year.

George Junior High School would like to welcome Mr. Ramon Parker to the team. Mr. Parker begins his first year as Head Band Director at Mary Frances George Junior High and his 14th year as a music educator this fall. Mr. Parker comes to George from Texas where he enjoyed a successful career as a high school band director. Mr. Parker is a native of Tyler, Texas and attended Texas State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. Mr. Parker also completed a Master of Music Degree at Northwestern State University where he studied conducting and ensemble pedagogy with Dr. Kevin G. Richardson. In his spare time, Mr. Parker enjoys riding/racing mountain bikes. He has been married to his wife, Dana, for 10 years and they have a 4 year old daughter named Aurora and are expecting their 2nd child Maverick this summer. Together they enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.
