George Junior High School

Due to inclement weather on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Springdale Public Schools will have an AMI (remote teaching and learning) day. All school buildings will be closed.

Over 600 students from more than 40 schools attended the FCCLA Region 1 Winter Meeting. Eight students represented George Junior High with their advisor, Jennifer Fortenberry. Competitors from STAR Events received their awards, and heard an encouraging story of triumph, servant-hood, and community from a local art teacher as he created a masterpiece. We look forward to the next level of competition and state conference in April!

GJHS Teachers and Staff were treated to our annual visit from Flan-ta Claus himself! He brought all the GJHS teachers and staff some of their favorite treats for being good boys and girls this school year! We always look forward to our visit from Flan-ta Claus and his eves! Our "Readers are Leaders" groups finished out their semester today with a trip to Once Upon A Time bookstore. Each student chose one book to take home for the winter break. Wrangler Friends and Families: Please donate your gently used or new winter coats to GJHS students. A drop-off box will be located at the front of GJHS through January. We are so proud how well our GJHS choir students performed at Caroling on the Creek on Friday night! However, we wanted to give a special shout-out to all of our GJHS choir students who jumped in to help wrap all of the free hot dogs and burgers at the event!
