Wrangler Families:
We are very excited about the upcoming school year! Last year, we offered opportunities prior to the start of school for students to come up and grab their Chromebooks. We are again going to offer this opportunity this year. The first thing that we are going to need from every student is a signed Acceptable Usage Agreement (AUA). We cannot give out any student a Chromebook until this form has been filled out. We are asking all families to fill out this AUA form online prior to Sunday, August 8th. This will help us to expedite the process of distributing Chromebooks to our students.
A link to the GJHS Digital Technology AUA can be found here:

Again, we ask that you please fill this form out as soon as possible. Please share the information with any friends and families of students that you know will be attending GJHS this school year. We can't wait to see you all soon!
Springdale Schools is seeking feedback from various stakeholders who have insight into the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching and learning. Feedback will be used to inform the district's plan for the use of funds received.

Wrangler Families: We have collected a majority of our student's Chromebooks and chargers, but we still have a few students that have failed to turn in one or both. Please remind your student to turn them in, if they have failed to do so. Any Chromebook not turned in will come with a $300 replacement fee. Any charger not turned in will come with a $40 replacement fee. Also any student with an outstanding charge for a repair or replacement to their Chromebook or charger will not be assigned a Chromebook or charger to use during summer school. They will also not be assigned either for next school year until their fee has been paid in full. Thank you so much for your understanding and assistance in this matter.
We are extremely disheartened to be losing such an amazing Principal in Mrs. Eads, but we are equally excited for her and her new role with Springdale Public Schools. Thank you for all your years of hard work, dedication, love, and support for the students and faculty of GJHS! You will be missed!

Good Morning Wrangler Families: Sharing out a quick reminder that ALL students are encouraged to attend this week and next, including blended students. We are finishing the year and have several things that students need to complete and turn it. Looking forward to see everyone at school!
Here is some information on the Arkansas Rent Relief Program for anyone that might be interested.
Wrangler Students: Only 9 more days of school to go! Some of you are very close to having only 7 more days!!
We are encouraging all students, regardless of learning model, to attend the come to school every day these last couple of weeks! Get all your work completed early! See your friends before the summer takes you away from their company or use the time to plan some get-togethers so that you don't lose touch.
Wrangler Parents: It is important that students finish this year on a great note. We are requesting that your students and you make every effort to have them here at school everyday!!
Our #FinishStrongGJHSChallenge is still ongoing, and we want all our students to reach the Finish Line. The reward for meeting our challenge is one that no one is going to want to miss out!
Mrs. Kaci Smith, our GJHS Teacher of the Year, is a phenomenal educator and advocate for ALL children. She is our Lead Special Education teacher and a valuable member of our Instructional Leadership Team. She is constantly working toward making sure our school is as inclusive as possible and is always willing to work with any of our classroom teachers to find ways that they can make their content more accessible for all learners. She is a superstar and we are so glad she is a George Wrangler!
Quote from Mrs. Smith:
"I teach because I want to build collaboration among all stakeholders so that ALL students can recognize their unique gifts through equitable and accessible educational opportunities."
Wrangler Families: Beginning Wednesday, May 19th, we will begin our Chromebook and charger collection process. ALL students must bring their Chromebooks and chargers to school for return on these days. Thanks so much!

This week we have celebrated our teachers and faculty for Teacher Appreciation Week! We were so overwhelmed by the response from our Wrangler Families and their willingness to celebrate our teachers and faculty during our Tasty Treat Thursday! We are so grateful for all of teachers! #TeacherAppreciationWeek #WeAppreciateYou
Students from George participated in the 1st ever Springdale All Region Jr. High clinic day at Springdale High School this past Wednesday and it was a huge success! Students from George, Lakeside, Southwest, and Central attended the clinic. The TTB choir was under the direction of Harber High School Director, Clint Pianalto. The SSA choir was at the helm of Springdale High School Director, Millie Peters.
Pianalto said, “what a way to break the fast from concerts! Very few districts in Arkansas could even attempt a project like this, let alone produce a product this good. #Thechoice! Go Springdale!” Millie added, “it was terrific spending the day with some fabulous singers. One of my favorite days of this school year!!”
George had 21 students placed in this year's region choir. It was a fantastic experience for our students to perform music that they worked extremely hard on to gain a spot in the region choir. What a great day to be a Wrangler!
