Dear George Parents and Students,
Cell phones have become major distractions for many of our students. They have been central in many of our disciplinary issues as well. Students are often in conversations and activities on their phones while teachers are trying to provide meaningful instruction and increase student engagement. Thus, after much consultation with leadership, district and building level, our SRO, other administrators and several teachers, we have decided to change our student cell phone policy.
Effective Monday, January 3, 2022, ALL student cell phones & electronic devices are to be OFF (not silent) and in a backpack at all times except before school (prior to 8:45), lunch, and after school (after 4:00). A slide of the policy along with a slide of the consequences for violations will be posted on our social media and website. This policy will continue for the foreseeable future, including into the 2022-2023 school year and beyond.
Please contact Dr. Flanigan with any questions or concerns. We strive to create optimal learning environments for our students and optimal teaching environments for our teachers. We feel this is another step in that direction. Thank you for all you do! #DestinationGeorge #WeAreGeorge #TheChoice

Good morning, Wrangler Families!
One of our goals as discussed this summer is to restart our PTO. We NEED a strong PTO for our school! This year, Central Jr. High School's PTO will be partnering with George Jr. High. Ideally, we will get parents here at George to participate and run PTO, but until then, Central's parents are partnering with George to get the PTO up and running! Please consider donating at least $5. This money will be used throughout the year to fund goodies for teachers as well as other activities throughout the year. Our goal is 100% teacher participation and as many GJHS families that would like to join.
Please click on the link below, print out the form, and return the form with any sponsorship donation money to the school:
